Haitians view illness as coming from natural or supernatural causes. If they believe it is a supernatural cause, such as angry spirits, they seek guidance from voodoo priests for herbal remedies. Most Haitians seek treatment from Voodoo Practitioners versus Medical Doctors, as they are more affordable. Haitians rely heavily on religion in regards to health maintenance.
